Welcome to Danya Reads! My name is Danya, and I am so excited to share book content that awakens your creativity.

My love for reading took on a life of its own when I was in the third grade. I vividly remember my teacher reading us From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E. L. Konigsburg. I was completely enthralled. I was transported into the pages every time she would read. This experience is what truly opened up my imagination. Suddenly my horizon for books expanded beyond the iconic Junie B. Jones series.

 

I was extremely shy when I was younger, so I didn't have friends to relate to. Through all my personal struggles, reading was the one constant that I could always count on. My love for reading eventually turned into a love for writing. Reading taught me how to connect and writing proved that my stories mattered just as much.

What was once an escape became a passion, so I enrolled at Montclair State University as an English Major. One of the biggest takeaways I have learned is that words resonate because they matter. Between the lines of our most treasured stories, lies a story of our own.

As a graduating senior, I can truthfully say that I still get that rush of excitement and curiosity every time I read. I suddenly become that captivated third grader listening closely on the reading mat.
